The Valentine Pug

A few weeks before Valentines Day, Jon, Olive and I headed on out to New Jersey to the Christmas Tree Shop to get cheapo decoration type stuff for my bicycle. We love Christmas Tree Shops because they allow us to bring Olive in the store as long as she stays in the shopping cart. One of the first things we saw was a headband with red hearts outlined with pink feathers. We immediately tried it on Olive. Knowing how much she hates anything on her head, we figured she would promptly shake it off her head. But no, the spirit of cupid must have been in her because she wore it proudly and happily the whole time we were in the store, to the great joy of customers and staff alike who were quick to pull out their cellphone cameras and snap photos of the adorable pug in the shopping cart. We didn’t have our camera that day but a few days later I took this photo at home. It was a big hit on Valentines day as I emailed the picture around and handed out hardcopy to people I knew and even some I just met. WE LOVE OLIVE!
