Bicycle Quote of the Day (sort of)
November 22, 2008
While riding my bike down Varick Street on this crisp November morning, the sun shining bright, that winter cold sunshine, at the corner of Varick and Spring there was a big construction crew.
As I rode by I heard behind me a construction worker shout out, singing the protest chant "all we are saaaying is give peace a chance!" I laughed, I cried. How GREAT is THAT! Some construction guy with his flourescent yellow vest shouting out "all we are saaaying is give peace a chance!" Perhaps he was mocking me but he knew the chant, and he sung it out and he put the words in the universe and it felt wonderful coming from this unexpected place. I did that, my bike, my presence, I did that!
