I don’t know which quote today was better. A) I was leaving my apartment building sporting my fab helmet when a couple with a young girl 7 or 8ish passed, the father said “I think that bike may be hers.” Clearly they had already passed my bike further up the block. I have been underestimating the power of the helmet. Or B) As I was locking my bike up at Doma, a very cute woman was just beaming at me with a big smile, “I always wondered who owned that bike,” she said. “I am a neighbor,” she said feeling an ever-so- slight need to explain herself. “I love your bike it always make me happy.” It makes ME happy to hear it. The power of a bike decorated with love.
